VH-DSM de Havilland D.H.104 Dove 1
(c/n 04120)
Here's
-DSM looking resplendent in the sun at Mascot in February 1966 in this
nice shot by Greg
Banfield.
Previously Southern Airlines' VH-GVE
.it was withdrawn from service in September
1981 and acquired by
the Queensland Air Museum at Caloundra and re-painted in the livery of
its
second owner, Mandated
Airlines (as VH-MAL).
Two more photos of this Dove are seen in below,
both by Geoff
Goodall. Above at Mascot in
September 1965, while operated by D.
S. McKellar
as Chartwell Ltd on general
charter work prior to a number of years before being sold to
Nicolson
Air Service at
Wee Waa.. The image at the bottom of the page shows it at Lismore,
NSW in April
1978 when operated by Cecil
Swift's Swiftair,
based at that airport.
