Douglas O-38
30-417
The O-38 was a USAAC observation aircraft, similar to the
earlier O-29 and O-32. It was the
the last of the Douglas purpose-built
observation machines. This rare shot comes from the F.H.
Christensen collection, via Craig
Neumayer. It was on the strength of the 116th Obv Squadron,
and crashed spinning into Couer
d'Alene Lake, Idaho on 19 May 1933
