Linie Lotnicze (LOT) acquired two Fokker-built DC-2s in 1935. A
third, SP-ASJ,
was purchased in 1937
The two new Fokker machines were powered by 750 h.p. Bristol

and seated 14 passengers. The above shot was gleaned from
Fokker
many years ago. SP-ASK was the 27th built in Holland.
In September 1939 when the
Nazis overran
Poland, -ASK escaped to Latvia. It was impressed into the Soviet Air

and then destroyed by a German strafing attack on Riga Airport when the
Nazis invaded
Latvia in 1941.
