OY-DYS   Focke-Wulf Fw 58C Weihe                                               (c/n  3105)

                                      

                                   The FW 58 was a multi purpose twin engine trainer built in 1935.   A six passenger commuter
                                   airliner variant, the Fw 58C was produced in 1938 of which the above sample, seen in the DDL
                                   photo above, was acquired by Gunnar Larsen in Denmark, and leased to DDL very briefly in
                                   November and December of 1938.  It was used on the Copenhagen to Rønne route.  Follow-
                                   ing the German occupation of Denmark in 1940 it was absorbed by the Luftwaffe as a trainer
                                   and was last sighted as a wreck at Karup in 1945.    Note large "neutral country" script on the
                                   fuselage roof.
