OO-TIP Avions
Fairey (Tipsy)
S-1
(c/n 29)
Some
nineteen Tipsy S-2s ('S' for Sport) were built in Belgium before
WWII. OO-TIP was the
prototype, seen above in its original livery.. All machines had a
variety of engines. Soon after it
was built in May 1935, OO-TIP was taken to the U.K. where it eventually
became G-AFVH.
It survived the war and in 1949 was
repatriated back to Belgium where it was reregistered OO-ASB.
