OO-AIL  SABCA-Fokker F.VIIb-3m                   (c/n  unknown)

There were two OO-AILs..  I am guessing that this is the second one.  This photo came from
SABENA many years ago.    Both were destroyed in crashes.  OO-AIL(1) at
Melles-le-Gand
Belgium on 8 January 1931, and -AIL(2) in the small Kent village of Sellindge on 2 June 1938
when it was attempting to land at Lympne during a severe thunderstorm.   Despite hitting the
roof of a house, it bounced, upright, into the grounds of the local Methodist Church.  The only
souls on board were the pilot and radio operator who evidently walked away unscathed and
wound up taking tea with the ladies who were picnicking in the church grounds at the time!
OO-AIL(2) however, was a total write off.
