OK-BAD Savoia-Marchetti
S.M.73
(c/n 30030)
In 1937 Ceskoslovenske Statni Aerolinie
(CSA - Czecho-Slovakian State Airlines) took
delivery of three
S.M.73s (OK-BAB, -BAC and -BAD) with 615 hp Walter Pegasus
IIM2 engines. The above rather poor shot was from a
CSA house magazine in 1948. .
Just before the outbreak of WW II three more (OK-BAE, -BAF and -BAG)
were pur-
chased. OK-BAD was impressed into the Lufthansa
fleet as D-ABED when Czecho-
slovakia was annexed by Germany in 1939.
