OH-ALK  Junkers Ju 52/3m                                            (c/n  4014)

                                

                                    This Ju 52/3m was acquired by Aero O/Y in 1932 to augment their Junkers F.13s.  It carried
                                     the name 'Sampo'.  It operated both as a landplane or seaplane as seen in the shot above
                                    (gleaned from Aero O/Y in the 1950s) and in  January 1939 it was re-registered OH-LAK.
                                    On 31 October 1945, the aircraft crashed .into the forest on approach to Hyvinkaa Airport,
                                    Finland, killing all 14 souls on board  Weather was bad it was thought that local high-tension
                                    towers distorted radio signals
