G-EAQS  de Havilland D.H.16                                     (c/n P.5E)

The D.H.16 was a modified/updated version of the D.H.9.  Four passengers were seated
in a cramped little cabin, although it did have a heater.  Access was through the roof.
Passengers climbed a three step ladder up and over the coming and down into the
cabin.   Not for the feint of heart, I should think, and a slight problem for well dressed
ladies   G-EAQS was one of several aircraft making the Croyden to Paris service for
Aircraft Transport and Travel Ltd starting in 1919 and running for a couple of years
                                     until about 1922.  .
