EI-ACK
Douglas DC-3
(c/n 19503)
Here's 'St.
Albert' wearing the standard immediate post WW II livery of the
Irish national airline.
In 1940
the airline received the last DC-3 (EI-ACA) to be built by Fokker in
the Netherlands and
operated this machine all through WW II. At the end of
hostilities Aer Lingus acquired another 10
ex
military Dakotas and became a Europe-wide airline. EI-ACK
was the ex C-47A-80-DL
43-15037. It was
later sold to Israeli Aircraft Industries becoming 4X-AOC. It
then went to
Portugal as CS-DGA and has been restored in TAP livery as CS-TDA.
It is on static display at
TAP headquarters at Lisbon Airport
