EI-AAD  Dessouter II                              (c/n  D.30)

                                   

                                        The Dessouter was the Koolhoven F.K.41 built under license in the U.K. by Marcel Dessouter
                                        at Croyden in the early 1930s.  Some 28 Mk. 1s and 13 Mk IIs were manufactured (oddly, only
                                        six original F.K.41s were built in Holland).  The 30th production aircraft, seen above in this image
                                        from Melbourne's Civil Aviation Historical Society archives showing the aircraft when owned by
                                        Iona National Air Taxis. It was later repatriated back to the U.K. at end end of 1931 as G-ABOM
                                        and flown from Heston Aerodrome to Sydney, arriving in February 1932.,   In Oz it was re-registered
                                        VH-UEE in March 1932 and was owned by L. Mackenzie-Johnson who operated in on an air service
                                        from Launceston to Flinders Island.
