                                       Ad Astra was a Swiss airline formed in 1919 by Walter Mittelholzer.  The airline, along with
                                       another line, Balair, was merged into Swissair in 1930  when the Swiss Federal Air Admin-
                                       istration more or less nationalized Switzerland's air transport.  Mittelholzer was appointed
                                       technical director.  CH-190 became HB-LAK in 1934, by which time it had been absorbed
                                       into the Swissair fleet.  It crashed on landing crash at Promasens, Switzerland in April 1935
                                      and written off for spares.
