XA-JOS Douglas DC-6
(c/n 43212)
The italic script
registration XA-JOS can just
be discerned on the original of this print of a DC-6
flying over the lower slopes of famed
volcano Mt. Popocatepetl. Vestiges of the old Pan American
heritage can be seen in this livery. XA-JOS was delivered new in
1950 and flew until 1974 when
it was sold to a broker and broken
up at Miami in 1977.
