PP-PBT    Douglas DC-3                                                 (c/n  11743)

                                

                                   This Panair photo is odd in that a shows a DC-3 sans the 'Bandeirante' name on the nose.  Possibly
                                   taken just before it was sold off.       It was a former C-53-DO, delivered to PAB in April 1945.  It
                                   went to Navegacao Aerea  Brasileira in August 1958 as PP-NAB.  Seven years later, in June of 1965
                                   it was sold to Lineas Aereas La Urraca as HK-772.   It then had somewhat of a checkered career on
                                   and off the Colombian register until 25 July 1981 when it crashed near Canaru during final approach
                                   to the airport, killing 4 of the 9 souls on board.
