P-BDAJ Consolidated
Commodore
(c/n 1)
Another Panair do Brasil photo. The airline had no less than seven of
these swan like looking
'boats .
P-BDAJ was formerly NYRBA Lines' NC855M, and the first Commodore built.
When Pan
Am took over NYRBA in 1930, they briefly based this Commodore in
Argentina
where it was registered R-ACWZ and operated under the holding company
name of "Tri
Motor Safety Airways". In 1931 it went to Brazil, initially as
P-BDAJ and shortly thereafter
as PP-PAJ. It appears to have been operated as late as
1941.
