OB-R-907 NAMC
YS-11
(c/n 2046)
This Bill Larkins shot lacks contrast, which was unusual for
William. It was taken at Oakland in
December 1967 when the aircraft was en route from
Japan to Peru. LANSA leased four YS-11s
from
the Nihon Aircraft Manufacturing Company
in 1967. However, LANSA discontinued
business when its last
Lockheed Electra crashed in 1971. The Peruvian YS-11s went back
to
NAMC and OB-R-907 evenutally was sold to Piedmon Airlines as N245P in
1975. It was
wfu at Winston-Salem three years
later. Reduced to produce?
