LG-AAG Ford
5-AT-B
(c/n 5-AT-26)
TACA's aircraft in Central America were more or less interchangeable in
the mid to late 1930s.
This Ford
was originally Stout Air Service's NC9669 (and later with National Air
Transport
and Pennsylvania Air Lines) before beimg sold to TACA de Honduras in
1936 as XH-TAS.
A year or
so
later it was "transferred" to TACA de Guatemala as LG-TAS.
Somewhere
around
1938 it
was reregistered LG-AAG. In 1940 it returned to
Honduras as XH-TAX.
Must've done wonders to the various asset registers. Maybe tax
reasons?
