CX-AGD  Douglas DC-3                                             (c/n 13306)

PLUNA's government subsidy was withdrawn in 1943 and it wasn't until the end of WW II
that they resumed services.  At that time (around 1946) the airline acquired a couple of
ex-PAA DC-2s and a modest fleet of DC-3s.  CX-AGD was a former RAF Dakota IV
and was  registered in 1946.   The image above is from the Hugo Souto collection.
Like several of PLUNA's DC-3s it was seconded to the Uruguayan Air Force for spare
                                         parts in 1971.
