                                       In 1940 LAN Chile ordered six new Lockheed 10A Electras registered CC-224 thru CC-229.
                                       They were reregistered in 1941 with three letter and three number identities.  Originally CC-228,
                                       the above machine became CC-LIN-609.      Very few photos of these Electras appear ever to
                                       have been taken.  The image above is from the Juan Carlos Velasco collection.  The aircraft were
                                       used on domestic routes and also to Buenos Aires and Montevideo.   CC-LIN was sold in 1948
                                       to argentina as LV-PKS.
