CC-CLW de Havilland D.H.104 Dove
(c/n 04273)
The above shot is de Havilland Aircraft publicity photograph.
Doug Olson's shot taken after its
duties were finished with LAN appears below. Like most airliners
of the era, the Doves had
been white topped at some time in
the early 1950s. CC-CLW was sold in the US in the mid
1950s as N4914V and was operated
for a while by Cal-Neva Airlines out of Long Beach. This
company was
owned, I believe, by one of the Lake Tahoe resort hotels to run punters
up to that
northern California gambling spot.
