TC-TEZ Fokker F-27 Friendship
(c/n 10123)
TC-TEZ was one of three
Friendships built by Fokkers to an Aviaco order which was not taken up.
First flown as PH-FAT,
it was, along with the other two, diverted to THY. It was
delivered to the
Turkish state airline
in October 1960. This aircraft was written off almost a
decade later when, on
17 February 1970, it
overran the runway at Samsun Airport, Turkey and was written off.
There
were no casualties.
Jerry Elmas' shot (above) shows it in original livery.
