ZS-AAL  de Havilland D.H.60X Cirrus Moth                             (c/n 502)

Interesting shot from the John Illsley collection of a Cirrus Moth originally imported in March
1928 as G-UAAL.  Reregistered on 1 January 1929 as ZS-.  (Just love the "L".  What made
the bloke think that it needed the curlicue?).   Originally owned by the Johannesburg Light Plane
Club, it later was sold to the SAAF Aero Club.  On December 6, 1937 in crashed (reason
unknown) at Muldersdrift, Gauteng Province whilst on a training flight from Roberts Heights
                                      Airport in Pretoria.
