CR-ACM  de Havilland D.H.104 Dove                            (c/n 04158)

                                   

                                        In 1948 DETA ordered two D.H. Doves, with two more following in 1950.  They were used
                                        mainly on commuter flights between Beira and Lourenço Marques (now Maputo).   It was on
                                        such a flight on 14 May 1959 that CR-ACM  (given the name
"Mocimboa") crashed landed
                                        at LaGoa Pati, a few kilometers short the
Lourenço Marques airport, due to fuel exhaustion.
                                        The five occupants escaped unharmed, but -ACM was written off.
