CR-AAM  de Havilland D.H.89A Dragon Rapide                (c/n  6397)

                                  

                                        
In the late 1930s DETA relied heavily on de Havilland types.   CR-AAM was one of six Rapides
                                         used by the company for both internal routes and also to Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia, and was
                                         delivered in April 1938..  Other types used were a single D.H.90 Dragonfly and a couple of Hornet
                                         Moths.   The above shot was taken in Mozambique in the early 1950s by the late "Connie" Heggblom
