CF-BVT    Boeing 247D                                         (c/n  1732)

Eight Boeing 247Ds were acquired by the Canadian Department of Munitions in 1940 to be
impressed into service with the RCAF.   -BVT' was the former United Air Line's NC13350.
Its RCAF serial was 7639.  It was not used long in RCAF service and released to the Canadian
civil market in December 1941 to Yukon Southern Air Transport. It was absorbed by Canadian
Pacific Air Lines when  that small company was bought, and is seen above at a bleak Regina
Airport in CPAL's war time livery (similar to the Lodestar CF-CPB).   In 1945 it was repatriated
back to the US as  NC41812 to  D.B. Southard.
