CF-AXB    Fairchild 82                                      (c/n  36)

The Fairchild 82, a rugged bush aircraft, was built by Fairchild (Canada) Ltd in the mid 1930s
This example was delivered new to Dominion Skyways in August 1935.   It flew until 21 August
1941 when it struck some trees on landing at Tench Lake, Quebec.   Several 82s survived the
war, and were still in operation as late as 1960.  The above shot is from the Provincial Archives
                                     of Alberta.
