CF-ARI  Junkers W.34fi                                     (c/n  2732)

This seaplane was acquired by Canadian Airways in April 1933 for 'bush' services in the
Northwest Territories.          It perfumed sterling services until 25 January 1940 when an
engine failure on take-off caused it to crash and be written off.     Fortunately the crew
of three and one female passenger were rescued.  The above shot is via the Department
of Mines and Technical Surveys, for whom it was working when the accident occurred.
.   The image below shows it earlier with Canadian Airways titling.
