Piaggio P.136-L1 Royal Gull N160EG
(c/n 206)
The P.136 was produced in two versions.
The L-1 with 270 hp Avco Lycoming GO-480-B
engines
and the L-2 with the GSO-480 supercharged power plant. It
was marketed in the
US
as the Royal Gull by the Trecker Corporation who, in fact, assembled
the aircraft in their
factory
in Milwaukee from components supplied from Italy. The above
example is a resident
of Van Nuys
Airport, Southern California, and is seen here during an air show in
1997.
