Piper
PA-22-108 Colt N4731Z
(c/n 22-8278)
In the fall of 1960 Piper
introduced a two seat version of the Tri-Pacer which it named Colt.
Like the
Caribbean it had a minimum of frills. It was available in Custom
and Super Custom
models..
The power plant was the 108 hp Lycoming O-23-C1B flat four
engine. It was in
production for three years during which 1,827 were built. My
example is at Hawthorne,
California in 1963.
