Texas Air Transport  Lockheed Air Express   NC306H   (c/n  76)

Temple Bowen, a former bus operator in Fort Worth, Texas was a bit of a speed freak.  In 1930
he acquired this parasol winged Lockheed to fly the route to El Paso from Dallas.  As for the rest
of the fleet, the aircraft was transferred to Southern Air Transport when that line merged with
St.Tammany-Gulf Coast Airways. When he later formed  Bowen Airlines he again bought several
                                      high speed Lockheed types.
