Transcontinental & Western Air  Douglas DC-3  NC28310       (c/n 2251)

Several airlines in the US had patriotic slogans during WW II.    This DC-3-277  was delivered
in July 1940.  Since the US didn't enter the war until Pearly harbor in December 1941, this shot
was probably taken shortly after that..  In the event, NC28310 was destroyed over Hanford, CA
on 4 November 1944 when it encountered a strong thunderstorm on a scheduled flight from SFO
to BUR.  The aircraft became inverted and broke up.  21 passengers and the crew of three were
                                        killed.
