Pollack Airlines Stinson A    NC15109                               (c/n 9109)

                                     

                                        Pollack Flying Service (dba Pollack Airlines) was founded in 1933 by Frank Pollack.  It was
                                        based in Fairbanks and had  a motley of aircraft, the largest of which was this Stinson A. 
                                        NC15109 was origimally built new for Cenrury Airlines.  Absorbed into PCA, it was sold to
                                        Pollack in 1936.  The photo above is from the Leslie Corness collection was taken at Edmonton
                                        as the aircrat was being delivered to Alaska, circa 1936.  Pollack sold his airline to Star Airlines
                                        in 1942.
