NC1451
(c/n 15)
Mamer Air Transport was formed in April 1929 by pioneer aviator and
barnstormer Nick Mamer
using a modest fleet of five Buhl Airsedans.. Originally it
partnered with the Great Northern Railroad
which plied from Spokane to Seattle and with the Chicago and
Northwestern between Chicago and
St. Paul.. Mamer flew "the gap" between Spokane and the Twin Cities,
using timetables allowing
easy access between air and rail services. Later Mamer acquired
Ford Tri-motors (see next entry)..
