Inter-Island Airways    Bellanca CH-300 Pacemaker NC251M    (c/n  154)

Although most histories report the two Sikorsky S-38s as Inter-Island's beginning fleet,
this lone Pacemaker provided sightseeing flights over O'ahu in 1929.  For the recording
of a thumbnail history of the company see under the entry for the former mentioned
aircraft.   NC251M was sold to McGee Airways in Alaska in 1934 (later Star Airlines
and later still Alaska Airlines).  Remarkably the old bird survives and has been restored
                                    and is at the
Port Townsend Aero Museum in Washington state.
