                                           Three shots of this ex-RAF Argus.  The above is from the National Library of New Zealand
                                           collection, whilst the one immediately below is by Ken Meeham in 1949.  The photo at the
                                           foot of the page is my own, taken some years later.  Originally civilianized as G-AJSM, this
                                           machine was imported earl;y in 1949 for A.V.Hunter, t/a Rotorua Air Tourist Ltd.  It carried
                                           the name 'Rangi'.  It was sold to James Aviation of Hamiton in 1951, and to B. Hedley of
                                           Waioa two years later.   It made a forced landing at Wairoa in 1957 (engine failure) and was
                                           withdrawn from use.
