ZK-BDF Cessna 180
(c/n 30179)
Fortunately I have this Jim Dyson image (via David Molesworth) of
ZK-BDF since, on my
shot, the rego is not
discernable at all! This was another early Rural Aviation
Ltd machine.
These 180s
all had US registrations assigned (this one was N2979A) although I
suspect they
were painted up with their
New Zealand registrations in Wichita. Anyway, after a scant
four
years in New Zealkand
this one was sold in Australkia in 1957 as VH-AFK (the fifth aircraft
to bear this
registration). It was written off in a crash at Timor, NSW
in 1958.
