ZK-BAC  de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth         (c/n  84649)

                                       

                                              This shot was taken in 1952, when the aircraft was owned by the Wairoa Aero Club.
                                              ZK-BAC was one of a whole raft of Tigers which were exported at much the same
                                              time from the UK (Jan thru April of 1952) and were alloted UK registrations G-AMND
                                              to G-AMNH (although I doubt if any of them ever bore UK regos  -except maybe painted
                                              roughly over RAF roundels).    This one was ex  T6201/G-AMNG.   Since this aircraft
                                              was was written off in an accident at Westshore in November of 1952, this rough old
                                              image is probably the only one extant of it..
