VH-UUA de Havilland D.H.86
(c/n 2406)
This photograph is from the Dirk Heerding
collection. It depicts VH-UUA seen from under the
wing of another
D.H.86, probably at Archerfield, Brisbane. Delivered to Qantas in
January 1935,
it was named "R.M.A. Adelaide". It
was sold to Tata and Sons Ltd of Bombay, India in September
1938 when
it
became VT-AKM.
The photo immediately below was a Qantas shot taken in the 1930s,
while at the foot of
the page is a nice close-up of the nose (both images from the
Geoff Goodall
collection).
VH-UUA was
probably the least photographed of Qantas' D.H.86s.
