VH-ULN de
Havilland D.H.60M
Moth
(c/n 1404)
This faded scratched up print
came from a copy of that which once adorned its CofA.
Doug Bastin in the UK unearthed another shot of it
(below) taken apparently on a beach,
undoubtedly somewhere in Tasmania. Both shots show
it wearing the tail stripes of the
Tasmanian
Aero Club, to whom it was registered from 1930 until 16
July 1939 when it
stalled into the water off Cambridge, Tasmania.
It was,
however, rescued from this
watery grave and remained stored until
1945 when it was withdrawn from use.
