VH-UGT de Havilland D.H.60X
Moth (c/n 605)
Visible in this shot of an
early Moth is the single wheel axle. This was replaced in later
models
with individual axles for each wheel. This
photograph, from the John Hopton collection (via
Geoff
Goodall) was taken at an air pageant at Kempsey, NSW on 29 March 1936
while the
aircraft
was owned by the ambitiously named International Airways Ltd, of
Cronulla, NSW.
VH-UGT
was struck off the Australian register in June 1937 although DCA
reported that it
was sold in New
Zealand in 1939. If that is so, I can find no record of it on the
ZK- register.
