G-AUXJ  de Havilland D.H.60X Moth                            (c/n  466)

                               

                                    These two photos were taken by Charlie Pratt in New Guinea circa 1928.  Pratt, from Geelong,
                                    Victoria had taken the Moth to New Guinea, where he originally worked for, and then sold it for
                                    a profit to, Airgold Ltd of Sydney.
                                    It then worked in the transportation role in the PNG Gold Fields.
                                    G-AUHJ was sold to Guinea Airways Ltd in August 1930 although crashed at Bulolo, New
                                    Guinea on 7 September 1931 presumably before it could be registered VH-  . Fortunately the
                                    two gentlemen alongside the fuselage above left enough space to identify the Moth!
