VH-WES (2) Piper PA-28-180 Cherokee
(c/n 28-2255)
The above photo, from the Geoff Goodall collection,
shows a new Cherokee still wearing its sales
promotion titling at
Parafield in June 1966. It had been registered to Western
Aircraft Engineering
of Dubbo, NSW on
30 August 1965. By February 1974 it had been sold to the local
flying school
as seen in Greg
Banfield's shot (below) taken at that locale. The aircraft
is still operated as a training
machine and is
currently one of Gostner
Aviation's fleet
flying out of Camden, NSW, although the
corporate owner is listed as
Wesair, Pty Ltd of Bargo, NSW.
