VH-UXD de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger
Moth
(c/n DHA1056)
This was the former VH-PFL
and VH-BKF before that. It has recently undergone a restoration
as
seen in the above hangar shot by Ian McDonell taken at Redcliffe
in October 2009. Although
it flew
for years around Queensland's Gold Coast area decked out in 'warbird'
colors as A17-725
it now,
mercifully, sports an attractive 'civil' livery. It carries a
rego so minuscule on the rear lower
fuselage
that I felt it necessary to enlarge Ian's print in order that it may be
positively identified
(below)! At fot of the page is a nice Phil Vabre aerial
shot of it taken at Bundaberg in August
2011. It now sports a
'Moth' star on the rudder.
