VH-TVJ   Vicker 756 Viscount                "John Forrst"                      (c/n  149)

                                    

                                           Chris Finney took many photographs in the Adelaide area in the 1960s and the above shot
                                           is one of them, showing the third model 756 delivered in the livery adopted by TAA after they
                                           had received their first pure jets.   This aircraft was one with the long range slip tanks fitted,
                                           enabling the Viscount to operate the Perth-Adelaide-Melbourne route.   This aircraft was with-
                                           drawn from use at Eagle Farm Airport, Brisbane in 1970 although the nose of it was preserved
                                           and resides today in the in Queensland Air Museum in Caloundra.  Here is a Peter Gates' shot
                                           of it in 1994.  Presumably restoration to the nose has been done since then.
