VH-TNE Piper PA-25-235 Pawnee C
(c/n 25-4266)
This late model Pawnee C was at
Bankstown in August 1976 when the above photo was taken
by Mike
Madden. It was one of the large fleet of Pawnees used on
cotton spraying by Nicholson
Air Service at Wee Waa NSW.
It was first registered 3 August 1967 in the company's VH-TN
registration block for their
founder Tom Nicholson, and had just been traded in on new model
PA-36 Pawnee Brave.
Nicholson had flown a Percival Proctor from England in 1954 for resale
to finance a Tiger Moth
cropspraying business at Kingaroy Qld. Today it tows
gliders at the
Bathurst Soaring Club.
