VH-TGY arrived in Australia as N7255 and registered to Air Capital
International, the ferry flight
contractor . It joined the Australian register in July 1968
and flew on TAA’s Queensland oper-
ations until
withdrawn from use at Eagle Farm in January 1974 . From April
1975 it was leased,
then sold to Islandair, of Toowoomba and two years later it went to
Aeropelican at Belmont for
use to the Mascot-Newcastle commuter route It was in
Aeropelican colours that David Carter
photographed it at Mascot in 1980. In 1981
it was sold to Talair in Papua New Guinea as
P2-RDH and was
again photographed by David at Madang in March 1983 (below)
Talair
leased it to
Aerolift Philippines from February 1987 to November 1990 as RP-C1218.
It then
flew on as
P2-RDH until it was withdrawn from use in May 1993 at Goroka before two
months
later being ferried to Cairns, where it sat until sold to Milne Bay Air
as P2-MBS in March 1994.
It was sold to Corporate Air Services, of Cairns, in September 2000 as
VH-MBX and scrapped
at Cairns the
following year.
