VH-SKB  Cessna 172F Skyhawk                         (c/n  53151)

                                  

                                          The above shot (via Greg Thom) of this 1965 Skyhawk was taken at Moorabbin in February
                                          1967 by B. Mills.  The aircraft was owned by Nicholas Air Charter and was operated as
                                          a traffic control aircraft for 3UZ, Melbourne's oldest commercial radio station.  The Skyhawk
                                          was previously N5561R and was first imported in September 1965 as VH-PKQ.   It became
                                          -SKB when acquired by Nicholas Air Charter.  Phil Vabre's contemporary shot of it below
                                          was taken at an Air Show in Temora in April 2010.
