VH-RWU Cessna 337A Super
Skymaster
(c/n 337-0367)
First registered VH-RZT
on 29 July 1966
as new stock for WA Cessna dealers Simpson Aviation,
this Super Skymaster had its rego
changed to it VH-RWU two days later when sold to the Royal
Aero Club of WA. It was visiting Adelaide when the above shot, by
Geoff Goodall was taken the
following April. Unfortunately it led a
short life, being wrecked in a forced landing into trees on
Jandakot Airport, Perth on 3 June 1967. The rear engine
quit during touch-and-go landings and
the
pilot lost control. Geoff managed to dig out a photo of the
remains from his collection (below).
