VH-RVA
(2) de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger
Moth
(c/n 82802)
Originally built as R4885
for the RAF, used by the RAAF with same serial, and civilianized
as VH-AQA. My shot at
Moorabbin in 1956.
Barrie Colledge
advises that this aircraft can be identified from VH-RVA(1) by the
presence
of navigation lights on the
wings,
since it was equipped for night flying (VH-RVA(1) wasn't).
This Tiger was damaged
beyond repair and withdrawn from use in 1957.
