VH-RSC (2) Piper PA-28-160
Cherokee
(c/n 28-525)
In 1962 the Royal Aero Club of NSW began
acquiring a fleet of new white and blue Cherokees
to
replace their, by then, aging Tigers. The first machines were 160
hp models, but later additions
reverted to the more common 140 hp variety. Third with the fleet was
-RSC seen here in the above
shot by Bob Neate at Dubbo in 1962. Greg Banfield's shot (below)
was taken at Bankstown in
July 1963. This Cherokee is
still current, and now privately owned.
